Product description
LED position lights. Suitable for Scania 2016-2022.
Description
LED spotlights specifically designed for Scania roof-mounted headlights. The six powerful LEDs on each emitter illuminate the reflector and function as supplementary position lights.
The emitter is available in dual-color and dual-color + flash versions. The flash model has 6 high-performance LEDs that produce a very bright flash.
Dual-colour
Each circuit board has 3 meters of cable. There is one negative and two positive wires. Both colours should never be switched on at the same time, so a toggle switch must be used to switch between the colours.
Dual-colour + Flash
The standard strobe light colour is orange-yellow (amber), but it can be made in colours like blue or white for special vehicles.
There is a 6-meter cable on the emitter with M8 connectors that can be connected to the included controller. The controller manages the two colors and automatically switches them off when the strobe light is activated. The controller itself has a 3-meter cable. The cable has 4 wires:
- Minus - Green cable
- Plus for the white position light - White cable
- Plus for the yellow position light - Yellow cable
- Plus for the strobe light - brown cable
Installation
Mounting the spotlights into the lamps is relatively easy compared to other lamps.
- The lamps must be removed from the frames in which they are mounted.
- Use the supplied drilling template on the underside of the lamp and drill one 20 mm hole and two 3.5 mm holes. Make sure to remove all residue after drilling.
- The emitter is inserted into the lamp through the large hole. The emitter has two solder nuts, which are used to secure it through the two small holes with the included M3 screws. Apply adhesive to the screw heads to prevent water ingress.
- Push the rubber seal upwards so that it is secured in the bore. Adding silicone grease to the seal can be beneficial to prevent water ingress.
